After college I spent 8 years in the retail sector (including 5yrs at a top local furniture store) and ending with 18 months as my own boss running a partnership in a hobby store, increasing its standings from top ten to top three independent stockist.

 

I decided that working for myself was fine but I wanted my hobby to be my hobby not my job. So I spent 2yrs working for a funeral home in Littlehampton, as a chauffeur bearer with the beginnings of conductor training. I left there as I was tracked down to become a business development manager for one of my hobby shop suppliers.

 

I only lasted 6 months there as I had fallen for the job I hope to spend the rest of my working life at. I started at H D Tribe in Nov 2006 again as a chauffer bearer but with sights set on becoming a funeral director. I was given more and more opportunity to develop this side of my career until March 2010 when I began my full training to succeed, due to retirement, Margaret Barrett-Gane. I took my position at Storrington in July 2010.
