Due to the extreme weather conditions, a number of funerals scheduled for Monday 2^nd February 2009 have been postponed.  Although Worthing Crematorium and Cemetery are still open, the main reason was relatives from afar were unable to travel down because of the difficult road conditions.  However in Brighton, the Council took the decision and Woodvale Crematorium was shut, cancelling over a dozen funerals.
