Ian's working life started in 1964 at a local boatyard as an apprentice Marine Engineer and moving on to become a GRP Technician within the same company.
On leaving there in 1973, Ian joined a funeral company in Chichester, West Sussex as a driver/bearing but soon moved up the promotion ladder until finally leaving in 1988 to open & manage the Rustington office for H. D. Tribe Ltd..
Former Rotarian and for three years Chairman of the Rustington Chamber of Commerce & Trade and at present Vice-Chairman, Ian is very involved with the local community in Rustington, in which he lives. Married with two sons, two daughter in laws and one grandson in Australia, Ian also has inherited four stepchildren and seven step grand children most living locally. |
